Fight Cancer Like a Man

A Strategic Guide to Prostate Cancer Decisions

'Fight Cancer Like a Man' is written for men who are facing decisions about prostate cancer as well as for their partners and family members who are helping them work through the situation.

If the PSA level goes up or an MRI is found to be suspicious, a series of recommendations is quickly initiated. A man may be offered a biopsy, surgery, radiation, and hormone suppression even before he has fully worked out his own risk, the alternatives, or the long-term effects of the treatment.

Dr. Petteruti advises men to take it easy, collect more information, and pose more difficult questions before making a decision that cannot be reversed.

The aim is not to ignore prostate cancer; it is to understand the disease, assess the real extent of the risk, and ensure both a long life and a good quality of life.

What the Book Covers

The book Fight Cancer Like a Man outlines the role of PSA testing, findings from a prostate MRI, PI-RADS scores, Gleason scores, staging, and risk classification within the process of making decisions about prostate cancer. Dr. Petteruti explains why PSA levels change, what it means when an MRI is abnormal, and why a biopsy recommendation should not automatically conclude the evaluation process.

The book also looks at the risks and limitations of having a prostate biopsy, together with the possible consequences of surgery, radiation, and androgen deprivation therapy, and explains how each of these options might influence sexual function, urinary control, energy levels, muscle mass, and long-term quality of life.

Dr. Petteruti says that men considering a less invasive route should consider active surveillance, regular monitoring, testosterone levels, nutrition, metabolic health, lifestyle changes, the use of repurposed medications, and other supportive measures. The book helps readers work through the questions they need to ask before agreeing to a treatment plan.

It also looks at the emotional strain that results from a possible or definite cancer diagnosis; although fear frequently causes a sense of urgency, that urgency doesn't always result in a better decision, since men need sufficient time and information in order to understand both the possible benefits of treatment and the things they might have to give up as a result of it.

Who Should Read Fight Cancer Like a Man?

Fight Cancer Like a Man is written for men at several points in the prostate cancer process, including:

Men with a rising PSA or abnormal prostate MRI

Men who have been advised to undergo a biopsy

Men recently diagnosed with prostate cancer

Men considering active surveillance, surgery, radiation, or hormone suppression

Partners and family members helping with treatment decisions

Healthcare professionals interested in strategic prostate cancer care

The book is also relevant for men who have not received a confirmed diagnosis but want to understand their testing, assess their risk, and prepare for a more informed conversation with their healthcare provider.

Why Dr. Petteruti Wrote It

After decades of caring for men, Dr. Petteruti saw how quickly many patients were moved from an abnormal test result to an invasive procedure.

Men usually were given only a limited amount of information regarding the effect of treatment on sexual function, urinary control, strength, energy, muscle mass, and quality of life.

He wrote 'Fight Cancer Like a Man' so that men would be able to understand the full decision, not just the diagnosis.

When making a decision about treating prostate cancer, account should be taken of the biology of the disease, the patient's age and general health, the probability that the disease will progress, the expected benefits of the treatment, and the things the patient might lose as a result of it.

Vitamized Health

A Practical Guide to Vitamins, Nutrients, and Better Health

Vitamized Health looks at the way in which vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and other nutrients support human health.

Many people take supplements without knowing why, without understanding how the various nutrients interact, without knowing which forms are absorbed, or without realizing how individual health conditions influence nutritional requirements.

Dr. Petteruti authored Vitamized Health so that nutritional medicine might be easier to understand and apply.

The book draws upon scientific research and on many years of clinical experience obtained through the use of oral supplements, injectable nutrients, and intravenous therapies.

What the Book Covers

Vitamized Health explains the role vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and other nutrients play in human health. Dr. Petteruti examines common nutrient deficiencies, absorption, bioavailability, and the differences between oral supplements, injectable nutrients, and intravenous delivery.

The book also explores how nutrients support energy production, mitochondrial function, immune health, cardiovascular health, metabolism, brain function, healthy aging, and longevity. Readers learn about the clinical use of magnesium, vitamin C, B vitamins, glutathione, and other nutrients commonly used in nutritional and integrative medicine.

Instead of recommending the same supplement program for all people, Dr. Petteruti explains how nutritional requirements vary according to an individual's health history, symptoms, diet, medications, laboratory results, and personal objectives. Increasing the amount of a vitamin or mineral doesn't always lead to a better outcome; the form, dose, method of delivery, and the reason for taking it are all important.

Who Should Read Vitamized Health?

Vitamized Health is written for readers who want a clearer understanding of vitamins and nutritional medicine, including:

Adults interested in preventive health, anti-aging, and longevity

People who want to understand the supplements they take

Patients exploring oral, injectable, or IV nutrient therapies

People concerned about energy, metabolism, cardiovascular health, or cognitive function

Healthcare professionals interested in nutritional and integrative medicine

The book also gives readers overwhelmed by contradictory supplement advice a practical basis for making more informed choices about their own health.

Why Dr. Petteruti Wrote It

Throughout his medical career, Dr. Petteruti has used nutritional therapies.

He observed patients taking supplements because of advertisements, online recommendations, or individual health claims without understanding the evidence, the correct way to use them, or their possible limitations.

Vitamized Health was written to give readers a clearer foundation. It explains how nutrients function, why delivery methods matter, and how nutritional strategies fit within a broader health plan.

The Cancer Machine Summary

In a story that could be ripped from the headlines, a small group of outcasts discovers the penicillin of cancer. Despite the breakthrough having world-changing repercussions, there are those in power who want to bury it before it ever sees the light of day.

Anton Thresher is used to going against societal norms. He even enrolls in a small Maine college instead of following his family legacy at the prestigious Harvard Medical School.

When the prodigal son, who knows genius comes in all forms, connects with Lisa, a lonely waitress at a local café, the two form an unconventional working relationship. With the help of his skirt-chasing roommate, Todd Freeze, and an arrogant senior resident, DL, Anton discovers the miraculous therapeutic effects of a plant compound in cancer patients. Anton thinks this could be the first step in eradicating cancer but finds that he has trusted the wrong person. Now, the friends have to go on the run from an elite assassin and the sinister agents of a corporate conspiracy.

Dr. Stephen Petteruti channels his own experiences with the medical establishment into a bitterly realistic thriller about corporate avarice and moral failings.

All men should read this book! When your Doctor says you have an elevated PSA and we need to do a biopsy right away. You need to know there are options to biopsies and the many side effects that they cause. Don't be blind sided by a practitioner using rushed medical scare tactics. Education is key to having a happy healthy life. This wonderful book gives you the information and options available for your wellbeing. I am currently on Dr. Petteruti prostate protocol and I have never felt better. Not only physically but mentally. Thank you Dr. Petteruti.

Finally, a doctor with common sense on cancer and sensible approach to prostate cancer.

Extremely informative and may help avoid unnecessary biopsy or surgery.

It will help with the fear the medical community brings with their treatment approach.

I found this book to be extremely interesting to learn that we don't have to take the aging process and just accept it. We can take control of our lives and do things to make the quality of our lives better. I never realized the benefits of getting treated at the cellular level and how effective it can actually be. I find Dr Petteruti to be so Knowledgeable and genuinely caring for his patients. I highly recommend reading this book and then booking your consultation with Dr. Petteruti.

Read Dr. Petteruti’s book Fight Cancer Like a Man. It is a great way to start fighting and winning in my opinion.

He covers what is non-conventional and he elaborates on the current treatments for cancer that do more harm than good and the results are minimal as far as longevity.

Having vitality beats being sick and tired. That is what happened to me. I was sick and tired of being a part of a medical system gone bad. Fight!

Doctor Petteruti I received your new book, “Fight Cancer Like a Man”. I have been following you on YouTube for a year and I am a huge fan.

Looking over the book last night I just received it was more than I expected. All that you have been informing us about is in one place and logically ordered by chapter.

I don’t have prostate cancer but have several friends and family members who are fighting, I just wish all medical professionals were as intelligent and insightful as you. This book should be required reading for all doctors.

You wouldn't imagine that cancer research would include drama, suspense, and danger. But the way Stephen Petteruti tells the story, it does.

The characters are believable and engaging. The actions of the evil parties may have been exaggerated for the story - but perhaps not beyond would could happen.

This book has three story lines, and they are well inter-twined.

Superb read. I have stage 2 prostate cancer and this book helps to realise you don't have to get pressurised into "treatments" which can damage your health for no great benefit.

I've been pressured badly here in the UK to have it removed but turned that down firmly. After all, this cancer is so slow growing I will probably die of something else.

A good honest look at all sides of the story and a must especially if your doctors are pressurising you to get it removed or have radiation. Indeed I wish I'd read this before having the biopsy. Well done to this Doctor for speaking out.

If you are interested in Iv hydration or like me, starting my own IV hydration business this book is a must have. This book is so well thought out, the chapters are short & full of info, analogies and examples. As an RN I can totally relate to how we treat diseases processes bs working on preventing. I now follow him on YouTube and social media. Brilliant physician with a great mindset in intellectual medicine (as he calls it). I also bought his wife’s book, (an NP Petteruti) haven’t started reading it yet. I hope it’s from a nurse perspective. Anyway you won’t be disappointed at all with this book. Thank you Dr Petteruti for such quality information. Anyone in the medical field will be able to relate. Invest in Your knowledge of IV hydration it’s only just the beginning

I rarely read a book cover to cover, but I couldn’t put this one down.

His insights were precise, evidence-based, and refreshingly different from the conventional medical playbook. If you’re facing a prostate health scare, this is the one book you’ll want to read.

Dr. Stephen Petteruti’s ‘The Cancer Machine’ is perfect for those who enjoy a good thrill laced with conspiracy and action. The book is a page turner with very dramatic action soon entering the characters' lives, so I definitely recommend to those who enjoy a quick-paced plot.
